Freda P. Cross
The funeral for Freda P. Cross of Madison will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the First Baptist Church at Madison. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery at Eureka.
The family suggest that, instead of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church in Madison and sent in care of the Wilson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 488, Madison, KS 66860.
Mrs. Cross died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006, at the Holiday Resort in Emporia.
She was a homemaker and also, a bookkeeper for the Madison Bank for 10 years. She moved from Hamilton to Madison in 1953.
The daughter of Charles and Faye Lillie Sandburg, she was born June 10, 1921, at Barnesville, Minn. She married Wilbur D. Cross on June 25, 1944, at El Dorado. He died June 30, 1991.
Mrs. Cross was a member of the First Baptist Church in Madison.
She is survived by one daughter, Charisse Cross of Emporia; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. One son, Charles Cross; one brother; and two sisters died earlier.
