Loyte Y. Criser

Loyte Y. Criser died Saturday, Sept. 3, 2006, at the Council Grove Health center in Council Grove. She was 91.
Mrs. Criser worked for Beech Aircraft in Wichita for 25 years before she retired in 1953. She was the liaison between Beech and the Federal Aviation Agency to certify all the aircraft manufactured at Beech. She worked in this same capacity and with the same boss for all of those years. Earlier, she was a clerk four years, from 1946 to 1950, at the Chase County Court.
The daughter of Adrian L. and Daisy Bocook, she was born July 26, 1915, at Matfield Green. She married Wayne R. Criser on March 25, 1950, at Cottonwood Falls. He survives.
Mrs. Criser and her husband were members of the Council Grove City Lake Association. After she retired, she compiled a cross-reference of all the leaseholders at the lake.
She is also survived by two grandchildren. A stepdaughter, Virginia Rachner; and two sisters, Aleene Stewart and Alys Underwood, both died earlier.
The graveside service was today in Matfield Green Cemetery at Matfield Green.
