Keith Wiley

Keith Wiley of Lyndon died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006, at his home in Lyndon. He was 82.
Mr. Wiley was a paint gang foreman with the Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad until he retired. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, having served in the South Pacific. He had lived in or near Lyndon since 1956.
The son of George and Eva Woodbury Wiley, he was born May 31, 1924, in Leoti. He married Ruby Weiss on May 1, 1949, in Vassar. She survives.
Mr. Wiley was a member of the United Methodist Church in Lyndon. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Post 125, both in Lyndon.
He is survived by three sons, Dennis Wiley of Emporia, David Wiley of Lyndon and Robert Wiley of Ottawa; one daughter, Janet Bates of Lawrence; four brothers, Ray Wiley of Lyndon, Rlyn Wiley of Osage City, Russ Wiley of Monterey, Calif., and Cloyce Wiley of Raymore, Mo.; two sisters, Carol Laue and Grace Jordan, both of Lyndon; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Two brothers, Albert Wiley and Neill Wiley, died earlier.
The funeral will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Feltner Funeral Home in Lyndon. Burial will be in Vassar Cemetery. The family will meet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Friends also may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions to American Legion Post 125 may be sent in care of the funeral home, Box 160, Lyndon, KS 66451.
