Randall Scott Sattler, Reading

The graveside service for former Reading resident Randall Scott Sattler will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Union Cemetery, northeast of Emporia. The Rev. Niles Lloyd, pastor of the Trinity Baptist Church in Vassar will conduct the service. The coffin will remain closed. The family will meet friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions to Hand in Hand Hospice or a fund established for his granddaughter, Addison Nicole Flannigan, may be sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 175, Emporia, KS 66801.
Mr. Sattler died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2006, at his home in Olpe from a short bout with cancer. He was 46.
He drove a semi-truck for many years before he retired in 1995. He also lived in the Reading area for most of his life, where he farmed for more than 30 years.
The son of Robert E. and Wanda Watson Sattler, he was born Dec. 31, 1959, at Emporia. He married Julie Andrews in May 1980. They were divorced.
Mr. Sattler is survived by a son, Ryan Scott Sattler of Emporia; a daughter, Erin Nicole Flannigan of Baldwin City; his mother of Reading; a brother, Rodney Sattler of Reading; a sister, Julie Lloyd of Osage City; his grandmother, Hilda Watson of Reading; and his longtime companion, Bregette Morris, and her children, Ethan, Austin and McKenzie Morris, all of the home. His father; and grandparents, Jacob and Hazel Sattler and Stanley Watson, died earlier.
