Scott D. Criqui, Melvern
Scott D. Criqui died Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2006, at his home near Melvern. He was 55.
Mr. Criqui was vice president of Kansas Van and Storage Criqui Corp. in Topeka from 1998 to the time of his death. He worked at Bailey Moving and storage in Topeka from 1969 until 1998. He served in the 129th Heavy Transport Unit of the Army Reserve from 1971 to 1977.
The son of Everett and Darlene “Connie” Joss Criqui, he was born Jan. 11, 1951, in Emporia. He graduated from Melvern High School in 1969.
He and his wife, Libby, were married March 16, 1979, at Lyndon. She survives.
Mr. Criqui was a member of the National Rifle Association.
He is also survived by two sons, Gary Criqui of Burlington and Jason Criqui of Melvern; his father of Olivet; two brothers, Larry “Doc” Criqui of Topeka and Dennis “Cotton” Criqui of Olivet; and three grandsons.
A son, Ryan Criqui, died in 1986. His mother died April 7, 2001.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Jones VanArsdale Funeral Home in Lebo. Burial will be in Alpine Cemetery near Olivet. The family will meet friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
