Glenn Gordon Davis
The memorial service for Glenn Gordon Davis, 2911 Sonora Drive, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Nancy Gammill, the Rev. Claudia Bakely and the Rev. Gary Longcor will conduct the service. Mr. Davis was cremated. Burial, with services by American Legion Ball-McColm Post 5 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Lowry-Funston Post 1980, will be in Maplewood Cemetery. The family will meet friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home.

Mr. Davis died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2006, at the Holiday Resort care center. He was 76.
He was a salesman at and co-owner of Cline Auto Supply in Emporia for 33 years before he retired 15 years ago.
The son of Glenn Martin and Leota Simmons Davis, he was born Nov. 25, 1929, in Allen. He married V. Allein Smith on June 1, 1952, at Winfield. She survives.
Mr. Davis was a member of American Legion Post 5, Emporia Masonic Lodge 12, A.F .& A.M., the Neosho Valley Shrine Club and the Arab Shrine in Topeka.
He is also survived by two daughters, Kelley Dial and Lisa Longcor, both of Emporia; two sisters, Doris Nickel of Marquette and Glenna Meek of Topeka; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A sister, Norma Jean Thomas, died earlier.
