Mildred Ruth Burnes Hush

The funeral for Mildred Ruth Hush will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the First Christian Church. The Rev. Bob Colerick will conduct the service. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
The family suggests that, instead of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the church Chime Choir and sent in care of the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, P.O. Box 175, Emporia, KS 66801.
Mrs. Hush, 415 S. Market St., died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2006, at Newman Regional Health. She was 97.
She was a homemaker.
The daughter of Harry P. and Emma Blair Burnes, she was born April 27, 1909, in Emporia. She married Kenneth W. Hush on Aug. 17, 1930, in Cottonwood Falls. He died Dec. 26, 1998, in Emporia.
Mrs. Hush was a member of the First Christian Church.
She is survived by one son, Robert K. Hush of Emporia; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
