Phyllis I. Bitler Storrer, Madison

MADISON
Phyllis I. Storrer of Madison died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2006, at the Holiday Resort care center. She was 90.
Mrs. Storrer was a homemaker.
The daughter of Daniel and Lura Maude Conwell Bitler, she was born Jan. 20, 1916, in Madison. She graduated from Madison High School in 1934.
She married Alvin V. Storrer on Feb. 26, 1936, in Wichita. He died Jan. 10, 1977.
Mrs. Storrer was an honorary member of the Hamilton Quilt Club.
She is survived by one daughter, Gwenda Storrer of Park City; one son, Richard Storrer of Henderson, Nev.; and three grandchildren.
One daughter, Karen Eggleston; one brother; and five sisters died earlier.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Wilson Funeral Home in Madison. The Rev. Steve McVey will conduct the service. Burial will be at Blakely Cemetery, northwest of Madison. The family will meet friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
The family suggests that, instead of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Madison Public Library and sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 488, Madison, KS 66860.
