Anna Vohs

Anna “Lurene” Vohs, 25 Locust Lane, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2006, at the Holiday Resort care center. She was 76.
Mrs. Vohs worked 30 years at Brown’s Shoe Fit Company and previously worked 10 years at Montgomery Wards before she retired.
The daughter of George and Charlotte Abott Smith, she was born Jan. 27, 1930, at Hamilton. She married Larence J. Vohs on July 22, 1950, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He survives.
Mrs. Vohs was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the church Altar Society.
She is also survived by one daughter, Cynthia Kay Wright of Corinth, Texas; one sister, Mary Hornbeack of New York; one brother, Deryl Smith of Colorado; three granddaughters; and one great-granddaughter. A triplet sister, Luretta Merwin; and triplet brother, David Smith, died earlier.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rev. Darren Henson and the Rev. Harry Schneider will be the celebrants. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. The prayer service will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the church. The family will meet friends from 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
