Geraldine Richard

Geraldine Richard died Thursday, Oct. 12, 2006, at her home in rural Emporia. She was 81.
Mrs. Richard was a homemaker.
The daughter of Frank Loy and Caddie Mae Ratcliff Clausen, she was born July 3, 1925, in Emporia. She married George A. Richard on Jan. 21, 1945, west of Emporia. He died Jan. 27, 2003, at Emporia.
Mrs. Richard was a member of the Sardis Congregational Church.
She is survived by two sons, Dan L. Richard and James L. Richard, both of Emporia; one daughter, Carol Johnson of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and four grandchildren, Katy and Lane Olson of Oklahoma City and Amber Richard and Baylee Richard, both of Emporia.
Two brothers, Leonard Clausen and Art Clausen, died earlier.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Marilyn Christmore of the Pretty Prairie United Methodist Church will conduct the service. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery. The coffin will be closed.
