Velta Maxwell

Velta “Grace” Maxwell, 1335 E. Fifth Ave., died Oct. 6, 2006, at Newman Regional Health. She was 77.
Miss Maxwelll was a packaging subcontractor at Hetlinger’s Developmental Services.
The daughter of Horace A. and Stella A. Fairchild Maxwell, she was born June 4, 1929, at Ponca City, Okla.
Miss Maxwell is survived by a brother, C.P. “Bill” Maxwell of Emporia; and four sisters, Katherine Shown of Emporia, Donna Rorabaugh of Overland Park, Frances Lewis of Silver Springs, Md., and Roberta Garrison of Laguna Vista, Texas. Two sisters, Edna Mae McClelland and Blanche E. Maxwell, died earlier.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Charter Funerals - Emporia Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. The family will meet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
