Nina Mae Weidner

The funeral for Nina Mae Weidner will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Messiah Lutheran Church. The Rev. Norbert Tegtmeier of the church will conduct the service. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery, southwest of Olpe.
Memorial contributions to the Messiah Lutheran Church or Holiday Resort Care Center may be sent in care of the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, P.O. Box 175, Emporia, KS 66801.
Mrs. Weidner died Friday, Oct. 6, 2006, at the Holiday Resort, where she was a resident. She was 90.
She was a nurses aide at St. Mary’s Hospital for many years before she retired.
The daughter of David J. and Ida Pearl Haworth Thomas, she was born Nov. 19, 1915, at Emporia. She married Abraham Weidner on Sept. 1, 1939, at Olpe. They were divorced.
Mrs. Weidner is survived by one son, Charles Weidner of Emporia; one brother, Leroy Thomas of Emporia; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. One son, Abraham Weidner Jr., died earlier. Two daughters also died earlier. Charlene Annette Ritchie died July 23, 2003. Jeannette Arlene Weidner died Aug. 7, 2006.
