Mary A. Foster Jaggard

Mary A. Jaggard died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2006, at her home, 400 W. 15th Ave.
Mrs. Jaggard owned and operated Jaggard’s Antiques in Emporia for 35 years.
The daughter of Otto and Elva Cowser Foster, she was born Nov. 18, 1923, in Emporia. She married Bill Jaggard. He died Dec. 8, 1996, in Emporia.
Mrs. Jaggard was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She also was a member of the auxiliary to Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1980, Red Hats of Emporia and Emporia Friends of the Zoo.
She is survived by one son, David Jaggard of Emporia; one daughter, Karen Jaggard of Meadow Valley, Calif.; one brother, Tom Foster of Topeka; and five grandchildren.
One son, Tom Jaggard; one brother, William Foster; one sister, Charmaine Foster; and one granddaughter, Cassie Jaggard, died earlier.
Mrs. Jaggard was cremated, with no services planned at this time.
The family suggests that, instead of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Hand in Hand Hospice and sent in care of the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, P.O. Box 175, Emporia, KS 66801.
