When it comes to the 2013-2014 McCain Performance Series at Kansas State University, be prepared. It’s big.

“This year’s McCain Performance series continues our philosophy of tremendous variety while showcasing the highest in artistic integrity,” said Todd Holmberg, McCain executive director. “We also are offering the most shows of any season in my tenure.”

The starting lineup includes:

Foreigner, 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8. The noted rock band has a long string of hits, including “Juke Box Hero,” “Feels Like The First Time,” “Urgent” and “Cold As Ice.”

“The Intergalactic Nemesis Live-Action Graphic Novel,” featuring Book One: “Target Earth,” at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 18, and Book Two: “Robot Planet Rising,” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19. Enjoy a mash-up of radio theater and comic book adventure.

Blue Man Group, 7:30 p.m. Sept. 25 and 26. Two chances in McCain to catch the famed theatrical and musical entertainment group.

Momix Botanica, 7:30 p.m. Oct. 4. A performance of athletic dance, illusion and more.

“The Price is Right Live! Stage Show,” 7:30 p.m. Oct. 6.

The World Blues Tour: Taj Mahal and Guests, 7:30 p.m. Oct. 24. Enjoy a night of blues from around the world.

“The Wonder Bread Years” with Pat Hazell, 4 p.m. Nov. 3, in Forum Hall at the K-State Student Union. Americana and pop culture take center stage.

Bach’s Own St. Thomas Boys Choir of Leipzig, 7:30 p.m. Nov. 6, at First United Methodist Church, 612 Poyntz Ave., Manhattan. This tradition-rich choir is dedicated to the legacy of Johann Sebastian Bach.

Brian Reagan, 7:30 p.m. Nov. 11. Reagan has appeared on “Late Night with David Letterman” more times than any other comedian.

“Beyond Glory,” starring Stephen Lang, 7:30 p.m. Nov. 13. This is the story of the courage and valor of eight American veterans.

“Memphis,” 7 p.m. Nov. 15. The Broadway musical looks at forbidden love and fame.

“The Sound of Christmas,” starring Elizabeth von Trapp and the Carolian Brass, 4 p.m. Dec. 1. Enjoy the sounds of the seasons performed by a granddaughter of the famous von Trapp family of “Sound of Music” fame.

“The Brian Setzer Orchestra Christmas Rocks! 10th Anniversary Tour!” will be at 7 p.m. Dec. 11.

From January to May, noted acts include “Everybody’s Hero: The Jackie Robinson Story,” “Green Day’s American Idiot,” “An Evening with Bernadette Peters,” “The Addams Family,” Lily Cai Chinese Dance Company, Soweto Gospel Choir and the Moscow Festival Ballet performing “Romeo and Juliet.”
