Lyon County residents have the opportunity to reserve tickets for the seventh annual Symphony in the Flint Hills event before tickets go on sale to the public March 10. Historically, event tickets sell out in record time – last year all 5,000 general admission tickets were gone in less than 40 minutes.
Symphony in the Flint Hills is guaranteeing 500 tickets for Lyon County for their June 9 event. Beginning Wednesday, residents of Lyon County may go to the Emporia Visitors Bureau (719 Commercial St.) in person between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. to sign up for tickets. Identification will be required and no reservations will be taken over the phone. Each person can reserve a maximum of four tickets per household. The last day to reserve tickets is March 1 or when all of the allotted tickets are spoken for.
Those who have reserved tickets will need to make arrangements to pay for their tickets through the Kansas City Symphony box office at (816) 471-0400. Tickets are $75 per person. In order to keep their tickets, payment will need to be made before March 10.
