Emporia Schools

These meals will be served next week in the Emporia schools:

Breakfast

Monday: Green eggs and toast.

Tuesday: Chocolate chip GRIPZ and yogurt.

Wednesday: Pop tarts.

Thursday: Cini-mini rolls.

Friday: Burrito with salsa.

Lunch

Monday: Ham with Kansas dairy farm cheese, Kansas wheat bun, Kansas summer hot tater tots, Kansas garden baby carrots/dip, Kansas farmer grape tomatoes, Kansas sunflower cookie, Kansas dairy farm milk.

Tuesday: Kansas City Chiefs baked fish sticks, University of Kansas wheat dinner roll, Emporia State University whipped potatoes with gravy, Kansas State University steamed corn and Emporia High School Spartans blue applesauce, milk.

Wednesday: Breakfast pizza, sausage link, tropical fruit cup, apple Bosco stick, orange juice, milk.

Thursday: Tres mini cup Crispitoes, ankle biter chips and cheese, sock it to me black bean salsa, pairs of dice peaches, knee-hi royal brownie, mismatched milk.

Friday: Homemade spaghetti, bosco stick, broccoli/cheese, apple slices, milk to drink.

Friendship Meals Emporia

Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave.

Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

These meals will be served next week.

Monday: Ribbette on a bun, Au gratin potatoes, coleslaw, citrus slices.

Tuesday: BBQ chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, succotash, pineapple, bread.

Wednesday: Hamburger steak, mushroom gravy, baked potato, beets, apricots, bread.

Thursday: Chili dog/bun, potato wedges, tossed salad, strawberries with topping.

Friday: Breaded pork chop, potato wedges, country tomatoes, banana half, bread.

North Lyon County

Friendship meals are served at noon at: the Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414; Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.

Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.

These meals will be served next week.

Monday: Hamburger steak and gravy, baked potato, beets, bread, apricots.

Tuesday: Ham and beans, coleslaw, cornbread, peaches, cookie.

Wednesday: Pork cutlet, hashbrown casserole, country tomatoes, bread, banana.

Thursday: Chili dog with bun, potato wedges, tossed salad, strawberries/topping.

Friday: Chicken fried chicken, potatoes and gravy, succotash, hot roll, pineapple.
