Lyon County commissioners made short work of a long list of items on the agenda for Thursday’s action meeting. Items on the Thursday’s consent agenda included approval of the following items:
-Warrants payable in the amount of $245,065.
-Sign the Force Account Agreements for Lyon County to provide the construction inspection on the bridge replacement on 142 Mile Creek Road on Road 330.
-A trip for the road and bridge equipment operators, supervisors and appropriate staff members to attend an excavation safety program at the Guesthouse International Inn at 7:30 a.m. Jan. 25.
-Approve a quote from Foley Equipment to repair a transmission on a 1987 Caterpillar dozer for an estimated total of $30,324 to be paid from the road and bridge fund.
-Authorize the director of Community Corrections to purchase a 2009 Nissan Versa from the Lyon County Sheriff’s Department for $7,830.
-Approve renewal of the 2012 Kansas Association of Counties membership dues in the amount of $6,092.
-Approve the county attorney’s request to donate $1,500 to each Lyon County high school for alcohol and drug-free after-parties for the prom, and another $1,500 for the schools to hold after-parties for graduation.
