Madison stuffed potato feed
The freshman of Madison High School will be serving baked potatoes stuffed with chili and more, cakes and tea at the basketball game Friday evening. Serving will start at 4:30 p.m. and the cost is $5.50. Proceeds will go to the MHS Class of 2015.
Free food giveaway
Main Street Baptist Church is giving away food from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. The church is located at 624 Commercial St. Please bring an ID and the number of household members.
Main Street will be continuing this food distribution the second Saturday of every month.
Food pantry open Saturday
The North Lyon County Food Pantry, located at the Allen United Methodist Church, will be open from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday.
SJS Spaghetti Supper and Bingo
St. Joseph Catholic School in Olpe will hold a Spaghetti Supper and Bingo on Sunday at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Olpe. Supper begins at 5 p.m. and Bingo starts at 7 p.m. The menu includes spaghetti, salad, garlic bread, homemade dessert and tea or water, all for a free will donation. There will be raffle prizes as well. All proceeds support St. Joseph School.
Cancer Survivors soup supper
Area cancer survivors are invited to a free soup supper sponsored by the American Cancer Society. It will be held at 6 p.m. Feb. 17 at the Didde Catholic Campus Center. In addition to soup, there will be an informative talk, fun activities and the opportunity to sign up for Relay for Life. Call 342-1117 to reserve a seat or for more information.
