Extension cartel

Since I attended the County Commission meeting on Jan. 5, I have had some more thoughts and questions come to mind.
If by chance the extension office consolidation did pass on a county-wide vote, then who would have ownership and possession of the present day extension office? The county spent many thousands of tax payer dollars to purchase the property and re-model and furnish it, and also do office vehicles go with it? If Lyon Co. retains ownership, then the cartel would need tax money to replace it all. There would be higher taxes!
Whenever I have gone to town, I have been stopped and questioned about what I know about the consolidation. There has not been one person speak in favor of it. At the Jan. 5 meeting Ms. Walters said that her constituents were not for the plan, but she was going to vote for it anyway as she thought it was a good idea! Does she know something that we have not been told?
