Arrogance

I have two observations to share.
1) The power “E”, logo of the local university, apparently stands for “E”go, at least with regard to the school’s athletic department. It is my unfortunate burden to deal almost daily this time of year with the athletes, coaches and or/staff of said coterie. Their level of arrogance astounds, amazes, amuses and is only surpassed by their fatuousness. If the level of superciliousness is this high at a small-town, smalltime program, it must be Maui Wowee high at Division IAA institutions.
2) The television guide delivered with the weekend Gazette has been out of date for some time now, which is causing confusion for several elderly friends of mine. A guide that accurately reflects the channels currently offered by Cable One and their corresponding correct numbers would be a refreshing change for them from current weakly (sic).

Actually, Chad, I am impressed that your elderly friends are able to read the tiny font of the television guide at all. Oh, wait; they all have magnifying glasses, correct?

I'll have you know that the open pages of that television guide are the PERFECT place-mat when I have lunch at my office desk.

Fatuousness? Superciliousness? You're using some pretty big words there, Chad. Pretty arrogant of you, I'd say. Why don't you go ahead and get down from your high horse? I suspect it's the athletic department that has the unfortunate privilege of "dealing" with you.
Elderly people are always confused about everything. I say they need to learn to adapt.
