Chili contest winners
The winners of the annual Chili Cook-Off at First Baptist Church have been announced. In the ‘Wimpiest’ category it was Jane McIlvain, ‘Hottest’ was Doug Cushenberry and ‘Best All Around’ was Christy and James Schreck.
Hartley honored by McPherson
Allison Hartley of Emporia has been recognized by McPherson College in their Fall 2011 honor roll. To qualify for the honor roll, students must be full-time and earn a grade point average of 3.55 or higher during the previous term.
KSU Honor Roll
More than 3,200 students earned semester honors from Kansas State University for their academic performance in the fall 2011 semester.
The university awards semester honors to students who earned a 3.75 grade point average or higher for the semester. To qualify, students had to be enrolled in at least 12 hours of graded course work. Students earning semester honors receive commendations from their deans, with the honors recorded on their permanent academic records.

Reimer recognized by William Jewell
Christopher S. Reimer, a sophomore in business administration and Applied Critical Thought and Inquiry, was named to the Dean’s List at William Jewell College for the 2011 fall semester.
