Admire proud
Admire Pride Committee

In recent times, it is sad that so many Kansas rural towns are slowly disappearing. But for one day, Admire streets were filled with people and activities reminiscent of days past. Families, friends, and neighbors came together on October 8 to celebrate the 125 years of Admire history.
A special note of thanks is extended to all the volunteers who gave of their time, talent and hard work to make the day a success. Also, we were fortunate to have the Ft. Riley Cavalry Honor Guard lead the parade and be a part of the rededication of a World War II memorial to Lt. Robert Clayton. Many events filled the day and evening.
Thank you to everyone who came to enjoy the day in Admire. We are pleased that so many helped a community celebrate a rich and colorful history.
