It’s party time in Admire and Lebo this weekend as both cities are turning 125.
In Lebo, Saturday begins with a preschool/playschool breakfast, bake sale and coffee bar at the Senior Center starting at 9 a.m. A birthday parade will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
Party goers at 1 p.m. can choose from bingo at the American Legion or a BB gun turkey shoot downtown in front of the mural.
A vintage fashion show will be at 5:30 p.m. Contests and dance lessons start at 7 p.m. and a dance will be from 8 p.m. to midnight with music by Prairie Fire Band.
In Admire, highlights of the Saturday’s events include a parade led by the Big Red One Cavalry Honor/Color Guard at 10 a.m. Another featured event will be a re-dedication of a sundial for the Robert Clayton Memorial to replace one that was stolen after Admire’s school was closed last year. It will be held at 11 a.m.
At noon there will be a horseshoe tournament and throughout the afternoon there will be a number of activities, including an old history living village, a covered wagon display, horse wagon rides, an expansive quilt show, a silent auction and more.
