Olpe and Lebo claimed the team titles at the Lyon County League track meet Thursday night at Welch Stadium. Olpe won the girls team title with 170 points and Lebo won on the boys side with 151 points. Madison finished second for both boys and girls with 100 points on the boys side and 93 points on the girls side. Olpe won the overall point title with 238 combined points, Madison finished second with 193 points.
Olpe’s Katelyn Henderson took three individual titles. She won the 1,600-meter run with a time of 5:41.87. She also won the 3,200-meter run in 12:20.84 and the 800-meter run with a time of 2:30.78.
Lebo’s Mike Cathcard took two individual titles. He won the boys 200-meter dash with a time of 23.69 seconds. He also took the 100-meter dash in 11.87 seconds. Teammate Dylan Kelley won the boys triple jump and long jump. He jumped 41-feet-9 1/2 in the triple jump and 21-2 1/2 in the long jump.
Madison’s Dylan Barnard also won two events. He won the boys discus with a mark of 146 feet and the boys shot put with a mark of 49-1.
Southern Coffey County’s Colin Kraft won the boys 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.72 seconds. He also won the 300-meter hurdles in 40.86 seconds.
The Olpe’s girls 4x800-meter relay team took the meet title with a time of 10:50.16. The Eagle girls also won the 4x400-meter championship in 4:25.38. Olpe’s Colby Nuessen took the boys 1,600-meter run, finishing in 4:44.45.
Josie Herrick of Olpe won the girls high jump with a jump of 4-10. Hartford’s Callie Clark won the girls long jump, jumping 17-1. Olpe’s Emmy Redeker won the girls triple jump with a mark of 35-1 3/4. Madison’s Cassidy Barnard won the girls discus with a throw of 114-11.
Olpe’s Rachel Hall won the girls javelin with a throw of 129-5. Lebo’s Alex Linsey won the boys javelin with a mark of 189-5. Olpe’s Kendyl McDougald took the girls shot put with a mark of 49-1. Teammate Taylor Scheidegger won the girls 300-meter hurdles with a time of 49.47 seconds. The Eagles’ Haley Herrick won the girls pole vault championship with a mark of 9 feet. Teammate Tanner Burenheide won the boys crown with a mark of 10 feet.
Lebo’s Austin Holmes won the boys 800-meter run with a time of 45.50 seconds. The Wolves’ boys 4x100-meter relay team won the championship with a time of 45.50 seconds.
Hartford took fourth in the girls team standings with 66 points, Southern Coffey County took sixth with 36 points and Lebo finished seventh with 22 points.
Olpe took fourth on the boys side with 68 team points. Hartford finished sixth with 42 points and Southern Coffey County finished seventh with 24 points.
