EHS boys headed to state

Saturday, March 5, 2011

The Emporia High boys basketball team got a 51-50 win over Salina Central Saturday night at Salina South. Jackson Perez made a layup at the buzzer to get the win.

Both Olpe teams won the Southern Coffey County sub-state. The Eagle girls beat Southern Coffey County 70-36 and the Eagle boys beat Crest 54-41. The Lebo boys won their sub-state with a 53-51 win over Waverly in overtime.

The Northern Heights boys' season ended with a 46-38 loss to Lyndon at Jayhawk Linn. The Madison girls also lost at Jayhawk Linn, 41-39 in overtime to the host Jayhawks.
