Chase County received extensive damage from last night’s storms. Elmdale resident Jean Hobson is reporting that Elmdale “looks like a tornado hit it.”
Hobson said there are tree limbs and power lines down all over town. She added that tin from roofs and buildings are scattered around town as well. Hobson, a carrier for the Gazette, said she wasn’t able to get home until 1 a.m. because of road blockage from downed trees and other debris.
“I was barely able to get into my drive,” she said. “It’s just a jungle. All of Elmdale is a jungle.”
