Our beagle Kayla passed away last month and it has been a very hard time for my husband, our other dog Buddy, and me.
She was so sweet; everyone loved her as soon as they met her. ... The amazing staff helped us through a very hard time by helping Kayla be comfortable at the end of her life, answering questions, and sharing tears ... the clinic sent us a sympathy card signed by everyone that worked at the clinic.
That is why I was so surprised to receive a letter in the mail this past week from the Pet Tribute Project at K-State. These wonderful veterinarians donated to this cause in Kayla’s name. ... The money is used to help the College of Veterinary Medicine through research, scholarships, and by helping other animals.
We want to say ‘thank you’ again to these wonderful people for everything that they have done. Drs. Eric Hess, Julie Miller, Allen Lewis and Stan Perry, and their staff have made a very difficult time a little less difficult for us through their generosity, kindness, and genuinely caring hearts.

When my cat passed away a year and half ago, I got a card from EEVC and they donated for him also. I was very touched. Dr. Hess was so kind when he told me my companion of 12 years had passed away. They are all wonderful vets and staff there.

I, too, had a similar experience. However, what was strange was that Snoopy died naturally at home, and we took care of the burial ourselves. We did not notify the vet clinic that he had died, but we got their card two days later.
