St. Mark’s Holiday Bazaar
St. Mark’s Lutheran Church’s annual Holiday Bazaar is Saturday from 7:30 a.m. – noon. Many handcrafted items, along with cookies, candies, homemade pies, snacks, and mixes in a jar, will be offered at the bazaar. The youth group’s famous bierocks will be available for sale, also.
The men’s group of the church will be serving a sausage gravy/biscuit breakfast from 7:30 – 10:30 a.m. in the church basement for $2.50 per plate with extra items being available for purchase.
St. Mark’s is located at 1508 West 12th Avenue. All proceeds go into the Special Projects Fund at the church.
Food giveaway
The Main Street Baptist Church, 624 Commercial St., will have a free food giveaway from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Information: (816) 262-4240.
Shiloh Christmas Bazaar
Shiloh House will hold a Christmas Bazaar from 5 - 8 p.m. today and Friday at 615 Congress St. The public is invited to shop.
Artisan glass bead jewelry, Christmas decorations from Johnson’s Garden Center in Wichita, handcrafted card sets, and numerous unique gifts are for sale. The items for sale at the bazaar are premium quality and are designed to make heartwarming gifts.
Shiloh serves women and children in life crisis, helping them through unplanned pregnancies, distressed parenting situations and other life issues. Holiday Open House
Lyon County Library District 1, Allen will hold a Holiday Open House from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. Friday. They will serve Christmas punch. Children can make a decoration, check out a Holiday themed book, read and relax.
The Magi tree is collecting non-perishable foods until Jan. 6. This year, the food will be donated to North Lyon County Food Pantry located at the Allen United Methodist Church. This will benefit many area families.
Lebo Bake Sale, Love Lights a Tree
As part of the day-long festivities in Lebo Saturday, a bake sale will begin at 9 a.m. at the Senior Center to support the After School program. Later that day, Love Lights a Tree, will be celebrated at 5:30 p.m. at the Lebo Public Library.
Masonic biscuits and gravy
A biscuits and gravy breakfast will be served from 7 – 10 a.m. Saturday at the Americus Masonic Lodge 109, 551 Broadway Street. Sausage, juice and coffee are included. Donations will be accepted with the funds going towards maintenance and scholarships.
Admire Pancake Breakfast
The Admire United Methodist men will have their monthly pancake breakfast from 7 - 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church fellowship hall. Menu items include pancakes, biscuits and gravy, sausage, juice and coffee. Donations will be accepted and go towards church and community projects.
Hamilton Pancake Feed
The Hamilton High School Class of 2012 will hold a pancake feed from 6:30 - 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Hamilton Senior Center. There will also be a bake sale and quilt raffle. Advance tickets are $4.50, $5 at the door.
Madison Chili Supper
A chili supper, quilt auction and food auction will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, at the Madison Senior Center, with proceeds to benefit the center.
