Work continues on water improvements in Americus through Rural Water District No. 1.
Bruce Boettcher of BG Consultants told Lyon County commissioners during their study session Wednesday that he is looking at extending out the project another three blocks south down Main Street and running one block west over toward the school in Americus. Boettcher said the additional three blocks will have to be bid out.
He also asked commissioners for permission to approve the application for payment No. 1 for work completed. The money will come from a community block grant fund. Commissioners placed the item on today’s “other business” section of the agenda.
