A trio of first-time commissioners will be sworn in tonight to the Emporia City Commission. While all three have many friends and business connections in town, even they may not know what their favorite pizza is or which Disney movie they rank as the best. Here’s a light-hearted look at our newest commissioners.
Rob Gilligan
Age: 33

Favorite kind of pizza? Tie between the Hawk & Cheese at Wheat State and Ballpark at Pyramid Pizza
Favorite way to spend a Saturday? Listening to NPR in the morning. Socializing with friends outside and finishing the day with retro cocktail hour on Kansas Public Radio.
Favorite season? Spring or fall for the nice weather
