Emporia Christian School has been awarded a $5,000 grant for library books from the Clint Bowyer 79 Fund.
The grant allows the school to significantly increase its library holdings with quality books for children and young people.
Plans are to purchase books in the following categories and areas of interest: leveled readers, elementary fiction, middle school fiction, academic non-fiction and some replacement books.
ECS, 1325 C of E Drive, is a non-denominational Christian school for students in preschool through eighth grade. Since 1992, its mission has been to educate children in spirit, mind and body. For more information, contact Jim Sanborn, administrator, at 342-5353.
