As the rest of the soccer team leaves the field after practice, Nic Hrabik walks up the hill to a different field. There, the soccer player meets with position coach Matt Baumwart and holder Tim Eichler and works on kicking a football.
Hrabik has joined the team in the last few weeks and is kicking a football for the first time since middle school.
In past seasons, Hrabik only played soccer. KSHSAA rules at that time prohibited athletes from playing more than one sport in a season. That rule has been lifted for this year, allowing Hrabik to moonlight as a football player.
