Preparing Emporia State’s volleyball team for this weekend’s first serve of the year hasn’t been the easiest thing for coach Bing Xu.
He’s had to work around the schedules of nursing students Brittney Miller — who travels to Topeka for her clinicals — and Jordan Lockwood. He’s also had to account for Meg Schwartz’s afternoon biology lab.
As a result, the Hornets have been hitting the court for practice at some rather unconventional times — like Wednesday, when they kicked off practice at White Auditorium at 6 p.m.
