Emporia State’s men’s basketball team will take on Kansas in an exhibition game and Kansas State in the regular season this year.
After an alumni game on Oct. 30 at Gym C on the ESU campus, the Hornets’ true exhibition opener will be on Nov. 4 at home against Livin’ the Dream. On Nov. 9, ESU will travel to Allen Fieldhouse and take on Kansas to conclude the Hornets’ exhibition season.
The Hornets’ regular season will begin Nov. 12 and 13 with the South Central Regional Challenge in Bartlesville, Okla. They’ll face West Texas A&M on Nov. 12, then play Midwestern State the following day. Midwestern State advanced to last year’s Division II Elite Eight. On Nov. 29, ESU will travel to Bramlage Coliseum to play Kansas State in its final nonconference game of the season.
