Vote for Huelskamp

Friday, October 29, 2010

During a television interview one person expressed his utter frustration with the progressive movement saying he was “damned tired” of being lied to by this group. Shortly thereafter a flier came in our mail; at first, based on the composition and claims, I thought it was from the campaign for Tim Huelskamp. Nope. It was from his opponent. Then I noticed that this opponent is endorsed by the teachers union.

Nowhere on the flier did he tell me he was a democrat and Huelskamp is a Republican. I wonder why? Democrats and other progressives are pro choice but he says he supports life from the moment of conception. Democrats nationally do everything possible to stop oil exploration and production. He says he wants us off our dependency on foreign oil. He wants to reduce the federal deficit. Democrats almost never cut spending -they raise taxes. Yet another bullet on his flier says he supports tax relief for families and small business.

He seems to fall in line with all politicians with his last point that we secure America’s borders with sensible immigration reform. To a progressive sensible immigration reform means amnesty!

When a person implies they truly believe in multiple specific values espoused by the Republican Party yet runs as a Democrat and is supported by the democrats why should I believe anything he says. I also am darned tired of being misled.

The budget is in big trouble. Mr. Jilka’s sole endorsee is the Kansas National Education Association. This union is a major driver for suing Kansas for more money for education. Tim Huelskamp is willing to tell the state and school districts to suck it up like the rest of us, will vote not to raise taxes, and help restore this nation.

This posting is factually incorrect. Alan Jilka has been endorsed by six state newspapers (Salina Journal, Hutchinson News, Hays Daily News, Garden City Telegram, Marysville Advocate, and the Wichita Eagle) as well as Governor Mark Parkinson and Rep. Dan Johnson (R-Hays). If this person had truly read the flier, he would have known that.

With the farm bill coming up, we can't afford to have Alan Jilka in Congress, we need an actual farmer who knows what it's like for the rest of us. If Jilka really believes in all things Republican, then he should just run as a Republican, or at least an Independent. Even then I couldn't bring myself to vote for him against someone like Huelskamp. We need that experience when the farm bill comes up.

With the important national issues facing the Congress of the U.S., we can't afford to have someone like Huelskamp in Congress. We would be going from the best congressman a district could have (Jerry Moran) to the absolute worst (Huelskamp).

Situveux1,
Can't wait till you find out you got screwed by Huelswhatever. One of his major campaign donors is the club for growth. They believe all farm subsides should be stopped.

Harley

So what you are saying is even if a man agrees with you on many things...but refuses to bow down to Rush Limbaugh's idea of political correctness......you will call that man a liar and consider him an enemy.

That is just about the most perverse way of thinking I have heard in a long time. If all Republicans feel as you do it is going to be very hard to watch your tent get any thing but smaller and smaller. Geeez....that is so tunnel-visioned as to make you legally blind.

I would not vote for Huelskamp for any reason. He is like a rubber duck, unable to do anything constructive, only riding the current that is the strongest.

Anybody who actually believes Huelskamp will take away farm subsidies is crazy. I wasn't going to vote for Jilka but at least I thought he had some dignity, until I just saw his TV commercial. Not even one word about what he stands for or wants to do, just attack, attack, attack. Too bad.

Hey situveux1, let's be consistent here. Attack, attack, attack is all Huelskamp did against Jim Barrnett in the primaries with his last minute ads. Huelskamp has no credentials to go to congress.

I think Jilka's commercial is extreme. (That's a little joke.)

According to conservatives, attack ads by conservatives are just them telling the truth. But when a progressive tells the truth its a mean-spirited attack ad....Go Figure!!!!!!
