Woman killed in accident

A women was killed in a one car accident Thursday evening after her vehicle crashed going around the S-curve between Americus and Emporia.
The accident occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Road F5, about one-eight of a mile north of Road 200. It was on the curve closest to Americus.
Lyon County Sheriff Deputy Jody Meyers said Kimberly Schneider, 39, was driving southbound at the time of the accident. Her car come to rest upside down. Meyers said authorities are still investigating how the car left the roadway and landed in that position.
The driver was ejected from her car during the accident. First responders reported the woman was not breathing. Ambulances were called to the scene but no one appeared to be transported.
