ADMIRE — Come hungry and ready for fun for the Third Annual Admire Fall Festival, because Saturday promises to fulfill both.
The festival will begin at 7 a.m. with a breakfast at Admire United Methodist Church. Events will be held at the Admire Community Center (former Admire School) and the City Park unless otherwise noted.
Events include:
7 —30 a.m. to 9 —30 a.m., Breakfast at the Admire United Methodist Church, Fifth and Market Streets.
8 a.m. — 5K walk and run
9 a.m. — 8 and 20-mile bike race.
9 a.m. — 3 on 3 basketball.
10 a.m. — K-9 demonstration.
10 a.m. to 1 p.m. — Armored vehicle.
10 a.m. to 1 p.m. — Fire department activities.
10 a.m. to 4 p.m. — Emporia Arts Council ArtMobile.
10 a.m. to 4 p.m. — Living history skills and demonstration.
10 a.m. to 4 p.m. — Vendors and moonwalk.
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. — Concessions.
10 a.m. to 6 p.m. — Silent auction.
10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. — Horse-drawn wagon rides.
1 p.m. — Midwest LifeTeam (helicopter).
2 to 4 p.m. — Kids activities.
2 to 4:30 p.m. — Youth performers telling history.
3 p.m. — Horseshoe tournament.
3 to 7 p.m. — History of North Lyon County DVD movie showing.
5:30 to 7 p.m. — Spaghetti supper.
6 p.m. — NHHS class of 1970 supper gathering.
6:30 p.m. — Silent auction results.
7:30 p.m. — Roundtable discussion of Community Building affairs.
