Drop off your donations for the troop gift packages at the Town Royal, 4th and Commercial before the parade.

Get a hand held flag to proudly hold during the parade.

Let's step up again Emporia!

Show your respect for all of our veterans and support for the troops currently serving overseas.

Steve, is that a cash donation or are you seeking specific items. My question is....What do I need to bring?

CASH FOR SHIPPING COSTS is ok.

Candy, beef jerky, individual drink mix packets, toiletry items, batteries, just about anything would do.

All donations appreciated.

Last year some 58 boxes were shipped at a shipping cost of $2,000.00. Response was great with Ralph Tebbetts in charge of the drive. This year Ralph is serving in Africa, so his wife is running it. Also if anyone has a family member or friend serving overseas, they are taking names of service members to send these packages to.

Don't forget you can drop of donations for the troop care package drive this morning before the parade at 4th and commercial.

25% of our sales today will go to help pay for shipping costs.

Hope to see a great crowd at the parade.

I was standing in front of the quilt shop up in the 900 block of Commercial and it was so nice to look south and see the large numbers of people lining the street. What a great parade it was!

Area schools had terrific bands. Northern Heights, Madison, Burlingame, Burlington and others.

Olpe, where was your band?

It was a great parade, wasn't it?

We received lot's of donations for the troop care package drive and our sales for the day allowed us to be able to donate $250.00 towards shipping costs. it always amazes me to see how Emporia people step up time and time again to help out.
Even in hard times such as we are in now.
Thank you Emporia and thank you to all of our veterans.

Hey guys......I thought the parade was fantastic....the best yet. I tip my hat to all that were involved in it.

But I want to single out one group in particular.....The Emporia High School Drum Line.

You guys were smokin......crisp, sharp, every drum in tune. When you stepped off the parade at Fourth and Commercial it gave me goosebumps.
