Republicans sweep top state offices

Tuesday, November 2, 2010

The AP reports that Democrats Steve Six, Chris Biggs and Dennis McKinney have lost re-election to their Republican challengers. All three were appointed to their posts within the last three years to fill unexpired terms.

Dennis Schmidt defeated Six for attorney general; Kris Kobach defeated Biggs for secretary of state and Ron Estes won against McKinney for treasurer.

The trio of Republicans join new Gov. Sam Brownback and Insurance Commissioner Sandy Praeger in the Republican state leadership.

Actually the House went as I expected it to.....the Senate actually went a little better than I expected in that Boxer held on in California, Reid held off that real wingnut Angle in Nevada, O"Donnell, not surprisingly went down, and Miller seems to be going down in Alaska. Tea Party favorites picked up some ground....but they also probably kept control of the Senate in Democratic Hands.

Could have been worse....and now the conservatives have to show us what they have other than rhetoric.

Angle a wingnut? Not if you compare her to Reid.

Angle made some comments that were a little out of line but most of her ideas were solid. Which of her ideas do you think were crazy?

Oh, and yes it could have been worse. But realistically it couldn't have been much worse.

The ideas of Angle's that I considered crazy were generally the same one's you probably called a little out of line. If you are going to hold Obama accountable for every thing he said and every body he knew before running for high office then I will hold her accountable for every "out of line" statement she made. Fair enough?

You spin it the way you want to and I will spin it the way I want to.....I believe that is the American Way.
