To stay in the race to defend its MIAA regular season title, the Emporia State baseball team has to win the games on the schedule against the MIAA bottom feeders.
After losing three of four on Sunday and Monday against first-place Central Missouri, the Hornets needed a late rally in Game Two, but they took care of business on Thursday at Southwest Baptist, winning Game One 12-5 and winning 12-11 in 10 innings in Game Two.
Chris Dobler tied the second game with an RBI single that scored Kenny Burkhead to send the game to extra innings.
