Tacos in Reading
Reading Community Development will have a Taco Feed from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Reading Civic Building in the city park. The menu includes tacos, taco salad and nachos with cheese and dessert and beverage. The cost is by donation for all one can eat. Everyone who attends will be entered into a drawing to win a door prize. Funds will be used to continue community-based improvement projects, such as new siding for the civic building, assisting people with home projects, general town clean-up and economic development.

The 12th annual Potato Bar fundraiser for the Emporia American Legion baseball teams will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Post 5, 2921 W. 12th Ave., on March 27. A wide selection of toppings will be offered for the large-sized baked potatoes, along with desserts and beverages. Carry-outs will be available.
