Brooke Kent picked up her second All-American honor of the meet and fifth of her career on Saturday with an eighth- place finish in the triple jump.
On Friday, Briar Ploude became an All-American as a freshman in the men’s high jump. It was the fifth All-American award in the high jump for the Hornet men since 2008. Kent placed sixth in the long jump on Friday.
The ninth-place finish was the first top-10 finish for the Hornet men since they placed fifth in 1999. The 17th-place finish for the ESU women is their best since finishing 15th in 2004.
The Hornets are scheduled to open the outdoor season on March 27 at the PSU/Wendy’s Invitational in Pittsburg.
