Have some consideration

Tuesday, March 9, 2010

Mom B. I found your baseball. It’s still in real good shape if you’d like to have it back for this year’s season.

I got a whole Sunday newspaper that I haven’t had time to read yet. Raeann and Sam, if you’d like to have your coozy back to celebrate again, I’d be happy to return it postage paid.

I found your shoe. It was my size. Unfortunately, I didn’t find the other one.

Suzie’s little lost lamb looks good as new after it came out of the washing machine. I bet that baby cried herself to sleep when she realized it was gone.

I won’t have to buy any new winter gloves this year. I’ve already found two pair.

Nice of you big boys to use the big pop bottles to do your business in. At least we didn’t get spillage that way.

I’m gonna start a campaign to outlaw Styrofoam coolers. You can’t imagine what an awful mess that makes when it’s run over by a mower. Did you know they make golf balls in red? I never knew that before.

Found enough plastic bottles to build the Taj Majal and enough cigarette butts to fill up at least two cartons. Any of you that are hard up for a smoke can give me a call. Guess I had better go sell all those cans and get some more gas money. There’s still enough trash out there by the side of the road to keep me busy till the end of summer, I reckon.

On a serious note — please don’t litter. What you can see driving down the highway isn’t a fourth of what’s really there.

Truer words have not been spoken! It never ceases to amaze me what slobs people can be. We've found the urine filled pop bottles tossed on our drive, too. That's about the nastiest thing other than something I saw once that can't mention in mixed company. Let's just say it started with a c and ended with a m and was used. I had to look hard to find something to pick that one up to throw it away. In a public park where little kids play, no less. That was a health hazard. Show some respect for yourselves and others and don't litter.
