Website Server Changes
Monday, March 8, 2010
The Emporia Gazette will be upgrading the web site server software on Wednesday. Some of the features like blogs will not work while the upgrade is happening.
The outage will begin at 9 a.m. and things like readers' comments will be unavailable for 90 minutes or so.
Once they're back up, users will see new features, including the ability to post a photo or icon that will appear with all your posts. More information about that will come soon.

What impact will these changes have on user privacy? Can users opt-out and have their accounts wiped if they don't agree to the new terms?

Why did they change it so that we can't read the Obits online?
