NHS inducts new members

The Emporia High School National Honor Society has inducted 11 new members.
Students, parents and faculty gathered last week to celebrate the accomplishments of the new inductees as well as the senior members and retiring faculty sponsor Marilyn McComber.
EHS Principal Scott Sheldon welcomed the group and praised them for their hard work in high school and in the community. He also thanked McComber, NHS sponsor for seven years, for her work in bettering the education offered to students at EHS, and presented her with a plaque.
NHS officers inducted sophomores Abbey Davies, Timothy Eichler, William Ryan Huth, Megann Olsson, Chaitali Patel, Collin Thomsen and Nishat Yasmin, and juniors Cody Lindquist, Alex Neises, Tommy Robinson and Jolene Sandoval.
After presenting the new inductees with certificates, members of the junior class presented these graduating members with senior pins to be worn on their gowns at the graduation ceremony: Gladys Azzun, Chloe` Blake, Whitney Brooks, Rachael Clopton, Nancy Delgado, Nathaniel Flanagin, Matt Fry, Melissa Heinitz, Erika Krueger, Andrew Laib, McKenna LeClear, Jacob Loucks, Taylor Mason, Austin Miller, Ariana Nasrazadani, Christopher Reimer, Caesie Reynolds, Grant Saylor-Perkins, Kathryn Scherich, Jenna Stanbrough, Alex Stone, Katherine Stuchlik and Hannah Watkins.
