Olpe girls roll into second round

The top-ranked Olpe Eagles might not have started in style the first couple minutes on Monday in their first-round game against Canton-Galva, but it didn’t take too long for Olpe to get going in a 87-15 win.
Olpe jumped out to a 35-8 lead in the first quarter, despite coach Jesse Nelson questioning his team in the opening minutes.
“We were a little slow getting started. In fact, I think I turned to (assistant coach) Carolyn (Davis) and said we’ve got four points in the three minutes,” Nelson said. “Then we just kind of lit it up from there.”
