Vote for Barnett

Wednesday, July 21, 2010

The fight to repeal Obamacare is the number one issue to me when I consider candidates for Rep. Jerry Moran’s open seat, and that’s why I’m supporting Jim Barnett for Congress.

A family physician of 28 years, Jim has an in-depth knowledge of the issues and flaws with President Obama’s health-care “reform” package. Obamacare means further expansion of government, another burden on small businesses that will kill jobs, higher taxes and poorer quality of healthcare coverage for all Americans!

As a doctor, small business owner and as the Chair of the Kansas Senate Public Health and Welfare Committee, Jim Barnett is the only candidate for Congress that can lead the fight to repeal Obamacare and guide the healthcare debate in Washington in the right direction.

Please join me in supporting Jim Barnett on Tuesday, Aug. 3 for conservative leadership and REAL healthcare reform.

I pray you don't get sick if your candidate is successful at repealing healthcare legislation.

What's "Obamacare"?
Do you really expect to be taken seriously when you use our president's name in a way that is meant to be a derogatory slang? Typical hate-stoking tactics used by the radical conservatives. Makes me sick.

Don't vote for Jim. Based on no facts whatsoever, I can safely say Barnettacare will destroy America! Also, has anyone even seen his birth certificate?
(this is how silly you people sound, Connie)

If any voter thinks that the Republicans will take over the house and repeal the Healthcare Act they are living in a dream world. Wouldn't happen unless there was a conservative president. While the doctor wasn't my doctor i have heard nothing but good about his doctoring skills (until he began serving in the Kansas Senate).

So I am basing my vote Against Dr. Barnett on his actions in the Kansas Senate.
He backed and voted for keg beer registration, ( more govt. regulation)

He backed and voted for statewide smoking ban. (more govt. regulation)

He voted for a bill to do away with legal and lawful adult entertainment industry. ( more govt. regulation).

He voted against the Reporter sheild law, which would have protected the rights of a free press. (more govt. regulation).

He voted against the expanded lottery act, which has allowed the 1st state owned casino in Kansas, (Dodge City) to bring in over 39 MILLION dollars to a state budget in shambles.

His ad on t.v. says "I believe in smaller government" (HIS QUOTE, NOT MINE)

His votes in Kansas do NOT reflect that belief.

Just my opinion!

I never asked if you voiced your opinion about it on the internet.
I assume you knew how to read and write at that time, and watched TV/listened to radio back then.

So I'll assume the answer is Yes. ;-)

My grandpa loved Regan. My mother on the other hand hated the guy. Remember the farm foreclosures? The out of control borrow and spend mentality? Fictitious defense projects? What ever happened with his space based missile defense system? Better yet, what ever happened to the money we spent on it? No president ever before and so far after has spend more money than Mr Hollywood.

Personally, I just don't understand why everyone gets their panties in such a bunch over use of the term ObamaCare. I use the term Reaganomics all the time, sometimes it may have a favorable intent, sometimes not, but its just a handy shortand way of referring to and/or linking a certain set of policies with the man responsible for them. Like the "Bush Tax Cuts". Whether any individual deems or uses it in a positive or negative light is up to them, like someone might say they are of a certain race, gender, or age group, and be proud of it, while another person might use the same term to put them in a derogatory light.

So I'm stating right now: If I EVER were to be in a position where I could be the architect or main driving force behind, and responsible for, some new economic policy or healthcare plan that I was proud of, I would be honored for the public to refer to it as "OpenEyes-onomics", or "OpenEyesCare". Yessir, proud to be associated with an accomplishment of mine I was proud of. So I wonder......... why the fuss? Is Obama or those responsible and supportive of the bill ashamed of his healthcare plan? Embarrassed by it? Want to distance themselves from it? Why wouldn't he be proud to have it so linked to his name that the term was synonymous with his name?

I also notice those who complain the loudest about use of the term are the same ones that like to throw a certain derogatory term for the Tea Party around. Maybe the mote in their own eye is just too big for them to see around it :-)

I've always paid for health insurance for myself, my spouse and my children. I'm glad that the deadbeat parents are finally going to be forced to do something too. It really sucks to pay for the birth of a coworkers eight kids and it really sucks to see that same coworker purchasing jet skis and motorcycles with the money he saved by not paying for health insurance. Then when his kid breaks an arm in a dirt bike accident he rushes them to the emergency room courtesy of the inflated prices people with insurance have to pay.

But we find that in Mass., with their universal health care plan ("RomneyCare") - emergency room visits have increased..... because now the average wait for an office visit is something like 44 days.

I think I'll just set my arm myself when that happens.

Besides, you really shouldn't complain about paying for their kids, REWBA - it's called "income redistribution"........ ;-)

Besides, according to Pelosi, the single biggest job creation stimulus out there is unemployment benefits, so I have a great idea: Let's make ALL Americans unemployed, drawing unemployment, and have government health insurance. According to Nancy's math that would be the best job stimulus ever - LOL

The economy tanked under the last presidents term. It was caused by the runaway borrowing and spending of a one party majority of the executive, legislative and judicial branches of the federal government. People who lost their jobs under the previous administration are asking for an emergency extension of unemployment and the party responsible for the whole mess is being all let's control spending all of a sudden. It didn't take them but a day and a night to give wall street a trillion dollars. And they say they want main street's vote. I say this year let's make Kansas a blue state just to send a message to D.C. Go Tea Party! Split the red vote!

Community Reinvestment Act that forced bad loans in the first place, attempts to regulate Fannie & Freddie in 2003 shot down by Barney Frank, Dems took control in 2006..... Just to fill in a few more of your oft-missing blanks.

Looks like there's plenty of blame to go around on all sides. I don't think there's a single politician on either side for the last 20 years who doesn't bear some blame for the mess we are in today.

And by "them" taking but a day and a night..... I assume you are referring to Obama who asked for and got the 2nd half of TARP after Bush said he did not plan to release it unless asked by Obama, and the Dems who voted it thru despite Repub efforts to block its release, as shown by the facts I posted earlier ............... right?

Or, as usual, are you just referring to one particular half of the story and turning a blind eye towards the other half?

If we repeal health care subsidies in order to save money, whose health care subsidies shall be repealed? Those of the elderly on social security? Those of employees who get insurance subsidies through their employer? Those of the self-employed who buy insurance with tax breaks? Or those of the poor and unemployed who only recently acquired health care subsidies?

What REWBA conveniently ignores is that the ONLY way he/she can afford said health insurance is through direct and indirect government subsidies to the party offering the policy. Some people are so clueless that they actually think the $400 per month or so they pay for family health insurance is the actual cost!

I just want to know one thing, Republicans (since it appears the Republican party is pushing to repeal the Health Care Reform bill). Who is going to pay for the uninsured? Frankly I'm tired of seeing my costs (and my employer's) continue to climb (and less money from my paycheck for my family). What is the Republican party plan on "offering" to replace the bill, back to the old ways?
