Chase County residents who need relief from the extremely hot temperatures may go to the Chase County Senior Center at Cottonwood Falls, according to an announcement from school superintendent Greg Markowitz.
Markowitz distributes the announcements to patrons throughout the Chase County school district via the district's extensive telephone and e-mail alert system.
"The Senior Center will be open this week during the day until 5 p.m. for persons needing relief from the heat," attorney Bill north said in the announcement.
North said that transportation can be provided by calling (620) 273-8511.
