The Emporia Energy 14-U squad begins play in its state tournament tonight at Trusler Sports Complex with a 6:30 p.m. game against the Wichita Flyers.
If the Energy wins that game, it will advance to a matchup at 11 a.m. Saturday. If the Energy loses tonight, it will play at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Play continues through Sunday, when the championship game is scheduled for 1 p.m. A second championship game, if necessary, will be played at 2:30 p.m.
Also competing at state tournaments this weekend will be the Energy teams for 16-U (at Salina), 12-U (Topeka) and 10-U (Wichita). Brackets for the state tournaments can be viewed at www.kasasoftball.org.
The Energy 18-U squad will be competing this weekend at the ASA Heartland World Series in Olathe.

Good luck to all players this weekend. Emporia All Stars baseball age groups 9, 10, 12, 13, 14/15 all made it to their state tournaments that begin today as well. A lot of talented kids playing ball this weekend!
