Special meeting at Americus

The North Lyon County board of education will hold a special work session at 6 p.m. Monday in the Americus Grade School cafeteria to review a plan to combine classes at Reading and Admire Schools, eliminate a principal position and other cost savings measures to reduce its budget, and to review a plan to consolidate Reading and Admire into one K-8 school.
Following the work session, there will be a public question and answer session at 7 p.m. Discussion will be limited to one hour, with individual limits determined by the number of speakers.
